Winners was another player who joined under the “block paving revolution” and when available has been a calm head on (so he tells me) young shoulders. Capable of playing anywhere on the left or the middle of defence or midfield – his versatility makes him an important member of the squad. He’s a good talker and strong in the tackle, it’s only a shame that he is not available more often.
Unfortunately his first passion is clubbing (he has been voted the UK’s top clubber 15 years on the trot, shared each time with Danny “Sherbs” Herbert) which means he is available only once in a blue moon. When he does turn up you can guarantee that he will stay in the changing rooms until the match has kicked off to ensure that he doesn’t get the linesmans flag.
Northampton United would like to thank Fever and Blue WKD for their generous player sponsorship for this season – can we have him back at some point please?
